One of my authentic questions was whether or not I could use my NutriBullet to make something else other than smoothies. I discovered that not only is the NutriBullet very efficient and easy to use, but it offers a variety of uses. Turns out the NutriBullet does not limit you to only making smoothies with it. You can also make other tasty treats. Today I used the NutriBullet to make raw hummus.
| These are the ingredients I used: *2 cups of zucchini *1 clove of garlic *1 tsp of cumin *2 tbsp of lemon juice *1 cup hulled sesame seeds |
As evidenced in the video, I experienced various thoughts with respect to how I thought the hummus would result. At first the ingredients were accessible to the blades, so the blades were able to do their job and chop everything right up. The ingredients quickly ended up clinging to the walls of the cup, so I felt the blades were not reaching the ingredients and that I should have used the smaller NutriBullet cup. However, afterwards, I went back to look at the original recipe, which you can find in my 20% research link, and it DOES say to use the tall cup. I'm not sure why this recipe would require the use of the tall cup when there is more than enough room for the ingredients to hide from the blades. In the end, my frustrations proved invalid because not only did the hummus recipe yield enough hummus for everyone, but it was also edible! It was yummy!
I scooped all the hummus out with a spoon. Initially, I thought that I had not made enough of it, but I was wrong. Everyone in my family had their fair share and enjoyed it!
My brother really enjoyed the raw hummus and was also impressed with how easily I was able to clean out the NutriBullet container and blades after I was done using it. My brother does not own his own NutriBullet, so he was very interested in seeing how it works. After watching me use the NutriBullet, he was quite fascinated by the effective and optimal performance of the NutriBullet. |
After I finished placing the hummus in the bowl, my brother said, "Oh, I bet you're not looking forward to cleaning that now." I just asked him to watch how I clean it, and he was delighted to see how quick and easy it was to clean! Everything came right off with lukewarm water and mild soap. I also informed him that another option is to place the NutriBullet cup on the top rack of the dish washer since it is dish-washer safe. But only the cup is dishwasher safe. The blades must be hand-washed only. Once my brother realized what little maintenance this modern kitchen appliance requires, he was convinced that it is a hassle-free way of making some healthy and yummy recipes. | When my brother first asked me what I was making, he initially thought I was going to take about an hour making this so-called hummus. And then he was so amazed with how quickly I made the hummus that he said, "Woah! You made that in a jiffy!" It really only took a few seconds of the NutriBullet doing its job! |
